Editing, Proofreading and Graphic Design of Country Reports for Save the Children USA, MOMENTUM Project

To support the finalisation and publishing of four country reports, as part of the USAID-funded MOMENTUM programme implemented in Kenya, Uganda, Malawi and Senegal, we performed professional editing, proofreading, and graphic design of the reports.

Project duration:
June – August 2024

Background and purpose of the assignment

The MOMENTUM Country and Global Leadership (MCGL, 2019-2024) is part of a suite of innovative awards funded by United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and implemented by Save the Children with several other organisations. The overall aim of this program is to holistically improve maternal, newborn, and child health in partner countries around the world. It focuses on technical and capacity development assistance to ministries of health and other country partners to improve maternal, newborn, child health and nutritional outcomes.

The MCGL builds upon existing evidence and best practices and catalyses innovations that enable government-led partnerships to deliver high-quality, evidence-based interventions that accelerate reductions in maternal, newborn, and child illness and death at scale. The project also contributes to global technical leadership, learning, and USAID’s policy dialogue to achieve global MNCH/FP/RH goals by supporting globally endorsed initiatives. Save the Children leads the project global thought leadership in nutrition and country level nutrition programs in Ghana, Kenya, Nepal, Sierra Leone, and Tanzania to integrate and improve the quality of nutrition care and services as part of the maternal, newborn, and child health continuum of care.

The MCGL convened the Strategic Planning Advisors for Education and School Health in Africa (SPAESHA) project which will identify the major barriers to School Health Policy implementation in Kenya, Malawi, Senegal and Uganda, focusing on the different elements of the School Health system, processes and platforms to create a realistic and context specific policy strengthening plans.

As part of the SPAESHA project, the country teams prepared desk review reports for which copy-editing and formatting support is required.
